Natural stakes are driven in every 18-30” and the “pleachers” (the attached pieces of partially cut hedge) are weaved in and out laying 45 degrees up hill to promote growth. A top weave of either hazel or the off cuts from the hedge to keep a nice uniform top and keep the pleachers in place.
